We were delighted to learn that Scoil Aodh Rua agus Nuala was awarded a Silver Stag Award in the Nature Hero Awards for our work on nature and biodiversity during the 2025–2026 school year.
Throughout the year, our pupils and staff worked together on a range of projects to make our school grounds a more welcoming place for wildlife. These included planting for pollinators, creating wildlife habitats, developing our no-mow area and caring for the many plants, birds and insects that share our school environment.
A special thank you to all of our pupils and staff who helped with our nature projects throughout the year and to Conal, our caretaker, for his continued support and hard work.
We are very proud of our Silver Stag Award and look forward to continuing our work to protect and enhance biodiversity around our school.
