Title: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Author: JK Rowling

I chose this book because it was written by one of my favourite authors. All JK Rowling’s books are deep-fried in detail, plot twists and connections.

The book is about a 16-year old teenage wizard called Harry Potter. When he travels back to school on the 1st of September, Harry and his headmaster explore the memories and past of Voldemort, and Dumbledore (his headmaster) hopes that with the information of his past Harry will be able to kill him for good, but the plan is postponed when a certain-someone dies… Meanwhile, Harry falls in love with his best friend’s younger sister.

My favourite character is Dumbledore (the headmaster) because he is tolerant and understanding even while Harry is shouting at him and breaking his possessions.

I liked the book because it showed the bad side of some characters and gave a lot of detail to things that happened in prequels to the book, such as the end of the Chamber of Secrets and the end of the Order of the Phoenix novels. I also liked the book because it forced you to imagine what the characters looked like, since there were no pictures. There are 607 pages and 169,000 words so it is an achievement to have read it. However before reading this book you should probably read the other 5 first.

I give this book a 10/10 rating and I recommend it to ages 10 and above.
